It is far more versatile than concrete, block paving and tarmac because it is far more durable and can be laid in a variety of colours and designs to suit your requirements.

The Benefits of having a Resin Bound Driveway

The Benefits of having a Thorset™ Resin Bonded Driveway

Resin Driveway benefits

Resin Drives are aesthetically pleasing; traditional concrete driveways are a lot of things but beautiful isn’t one of them! At Thortech, we can offer you a range of colours from bright pigmented colours to dark modern colours. We can even offer to place unique designs created by you into the surface!

Our resin driveways in Cardiff are also simple to install. A basic concrete or gravel driveway can take days to install. Our resin driveways, however, can be installed in a few hours depending on the size of the area covered (how good is that!).

Thortech Resin Bound driveways allow water to drain into the sub-base, just like soil and grass. This is very different from tarmac, asphalt and other paving which tend to let water runoff leading to a risk of flooding. This gives our products SUDS (Sustainable Urban Drainage System) compliance.

What is a resin bonded surface?

Quite simply, it is a surface of aggregate (or gravel) that has been bonded together with a special resin. This means that the aggregate used is not loose; will not move around; and is harder wearing and less hazardous than loose aggregate or gravel surfaces.
